Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance®

Successful sustaining evidence-based falls prevention programs is dependent on several key factors including:

  • Instructor readiness and competence
  • Site and organizational readiness
  • Older adult participant recruitment and referrals
  • Program participant retention
  • Sustainability planning

Dawna has extensive experience assisting many different community-based organizations throughout the northeast in developing and supporting TJQMBB Implementation. Dawna led a team at Dartmouth Health in developing a TJQMBB implementation workshop, training community-based organizations in an adapted CDC based falls risk screening program proven effective in participant recruitment and identifying strategies for effective referral pathways from healthcare organizations to community-based organizations.

  • Dawna will share the results with the Instructor in written format and in a brief discussion following the Fidelity Check
  • One Fidelity Check is included in the cost for all who are trained as TJQMBB Instructors.

These additional trainings can be scheduled individually or at a discount as a part of a package with the 2-Day Instructor Training and 1-Day Enhanced Training. Please reach out to Dawna at Dawna@dpbalance.net for details.
